Let's not forget about your beards best friend! There are a heck of a lot of beard products out there - but it's time to focus on your glorious moustache!
Do you want to sculpt, care for, prime and shape your moustache? Then say hello to Moustache Wax!
This staple product arrives in a handy little tin ready to take on all your facial hair challenges! Let's get the most out of your moustache.
So what is this miracle product we're gloating about?
Moustache Wax is a sticky wax used to control your fly-away hairs, leaving it smooth and silky.
If you're looking to shape and mould your moustache you can create some crazy designs all with a bit of wax! If you're looking for a little extra support throughout the day, moustache wax will keep your facial hair in place from start to finish.
This clever little product maintains and nourishes your facial hair at the same time!
The majority of Moustache Waxes are made from beeswax. The other ingredients will depend on the brand.
Some brands use natural wax and oils (like us) and others will use petrochemical ingredients. We recommend sticking to an all natural brand! They are protective of the facial hair and naturally moisturise the skin without adding any nasty extras!
Here is what you can find in our Moustache Wax:
- Shea Butter
- 9 premium oils (Sweet Almond Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Avocado Oil, Argan Oil, Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Pumpkin Seed Oil and Hempseed Oil)
- All Natural Ingredients
Our natural blend provides the ultimate care. Our collections are all scented differently so you can find your perfect scent! Check out our beard care collections here.
Think about your average day. Your facial hair has a lot to handle!
Your moustache requires a specific kind of care. Not only is your facial hair far coarse and prone to being brittle, it becomes dry and weak far easier than the hair on your head. It also combats different daily challenges. Your moustache needs protection for food and drink intake everyday!
Moustache Wax is specifically designed for the task. It is stronger and more resilient than the average hair wax. You can rest assured the job will be done correctly if you opt for the right wax.
Before you begin
Beeswax is firm in consistency. When you open your moustache wax tin for the first time it is likely to be at room temperature. It will be hard to use and manoeuvre. First you must warm it up!
There are a number of ways to do this:
Don't worry! You don't have to do this every time. Once you have used the wax a few times the wax will become easier to handle and manipulate.
Applying the wax
If your facial hair is wet the wax will struggle to stick to your face. The shape of your well groomed moustache won't last long!
Using your thumb or finger, remove a pea-sized amount of wax from the top of the tin. If you have a large moustache still begin with a small amount - you can always add more later!
Rub the small amount of wax between your finger and your thumb until it becomes sticky. The softer the wax becomes the easier it is to apply.
Rub the wax into your hair, staring in the middle and working out. Begin with one side and then move onto the next. Mould your moustache as you rub.
Brush your moustache to ensure the wax is spread evenly throughout your facial hair. Your moustache should now look well groomed and even!
Perhaps steps 1-5 are enough for your liking! If you like a simple moustache then feel free to stop there.
If you're after something more statement then you can now begin moulding your moustache into your desired shape. Use both your comb and your fingers to mould your moustache. (At this point you may want to consider adding more wax).
It is important you use a brand with quality natural ingredients to ensure the wax doesn't look greasy when dried. You shouldn't be able to see any trace of the wax left in the beard when you have finished.
Moustache Wax must be washed out at the end of every day. If not it may clog your pores and stop your skin from producing natural oils.
